Livestock Environmental Quality Assurance2009 Date and LocationMarch 2009 DescriptionThis 1 ½ day training gives conservation and agricultural professionals the assessment, planning and assurance skills needed to rate farms for the Livestock Environmental Assurance Consortium’s 5-Star Livestock Environmental Quality Assurance Program. Participants will learn how to assess a farm operation and describe how it stacks up with regard to environmental issues. The course is funded by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and presented by Ag Resource Strategies. Who Should Attend?The training is designed for Technical Service Providers and other agricultural professionals who work directly with ag producers and want to add a service for their clients. Pre-requisitesParticipants should have the ability to converse with ag producers about environmental farm issues, and should be able to collect data and operate the MinnFARM software.
