Ag Resource Assessment2009 Date and LocationFebruary 2009 DescriptionParticipants will gain skills in assessing the production and natural resources of the farm operation using various indices, spreadsheets, and ratings. These may include the Soil Conditioning Index, Soil Tillage Intensity Rating, Water Quality Score (CSP), Phosphorus Index, Habitat Suitability Index, Pasture Score, and other relevant ratings. Together, these ratings provide a comprehensive picture of the status of a farm’s resources. Participants will learn how to use and interpret the collection of ratings and how the results link to conservation planning and other applications. The course is presented by Ag Resource Strategies Who Should Attend?The training is designed for Technical Service Providers and other agricultural professionals who work directly with ag producers and want to add a service for their clients. Pre-requisitesParticipants are assumed to have basic agronomic knowledge, and awareness of RUSLE2 erosion prediction software. RegistrationRegistration information coming in fall 2008.
